That's according to bookmakers Sky Bet, who've made the Germans just a 2/1 chance in their 'where will he be playing when the window closes' market.

Any potential suitors are understood have to fork out upwards of £40million for the Scotland international.

That's because his contract doesn't run out until June 2025 with the option of a further 12 months.

Despite that, he's only mustered seven minutes of action for United this summer having fallen behind Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Mason Mount in the pecking order.

McTominay is hoping to be in Germany next summer with his national team at Euro 2024.

But he could be making a similar move in the not-to-distant future if reports and the betting markets suggest anything.

However, he's currently an odds-on chance at 10/1 to stay put beyond the window closing.

West Ham have been around the top of the market to sign McTominay for most of the summer and come next at 3/1.

The Hammers have a healthy amount to spend following the departure of Declan Rice to Arsenal for a colossal £105m, and desperately need to replace the England star.

There's a big jump to Everton at 20/1, although their financial muscle doesn't appear to strong with FFP restrictions still lingering.

Brighton, Celtic and Tottenham all come next at 33/1.
