Russell Brand’s business empire in turmoil as presenter moves to shut down company and gets ditched by partners | The Sun

RUSSELL Brand's business empire is in tatters as he rushes to close down one company and is ditched by his business partners of two others, The Sun can reveal.

The under-fire comic first made a last ditch move to close one of his companies last week just days before he was accused of rape and sexual assault by five women.

He and his wife Laura rushed to strike off their joint company Brand New Collective Ltd on September 12, days before the abuse allegations were made public, according to Companies House records.

It states that the nature of business is "licensed restaurants, take away food, buying and selling of real estate, artistic creation".

Brand, who denies the allegations, has also closed off his pub The Crown Inn in Pishill, Oxfordshire, which he owns with Laura, having fencing installed and hiring security guards, locals claimed on Monday morning.

Today, The Sun can reveal he has been terminated as director of movie company Mayfair Film Partnership Limited – worth £729,700 – and resigned as director of One Arm Bandit Limited – worth £61,031 – which is described as providing "support activities to performing arts".

It comes as YouTube suspended adverts on Brand's channel following the allegations – for "violating our Creator Responsibility policy" – potentially losing him £1 million a year in earnings.

Brand was a director of Mayfair Film Partnership and One Arm Bandit with his former managers John and Nik Linnen of John Noel Management.

Nik Linnen was even best man at his wedding to Katy Perry – but it seems the pair have now distanced themselves from the comic and are no longer in business with him.

John Linnen said he could not comment for "legal reasons" when approached by The Sun.

Brand's publicly available records also show that one of his other companies, Pablo Diablo’s Legitimate Business Firm Ltd – a TV production company – has taken out bank loans worth a total of £708,446 related to his Oxfordshire pub.

He also owes the firm personally £502,217 although the company is worth a staggering £4,070,420.

The records also show his long time agent Angharad Wood resigned from his film production company 90 Ninety Films Ltd on September 13, days before the allegations came to light.

A new firm Brand set up in February 2022, called Stay Free Media Ltd, has so far filed no accounts.

Brand's wife, who is believed to be standing by her man despite the allegations is the co-owner of three of Brand's companies – Pablo Diablo’s Legitimate Business Firm Ltd, Stay Free Media Ltd, and Brand New Collective Ltd – and the couple also owns a limited liability partnership called R&L Brand LLP, which has £211,827 in the pot.

It comes as the Met Police announced yesterday that they were investigating Brand after a new woman contacted them on Sunday alleging she was sexually assaulted by him in London in 2003.

Five women have already come forward to accuse Brand of sexual assaults between 2006 and 2013.

Those sex abuse claims were revealed over the weekend by The Sunday Times and C4’s Dispatches programme.

Yesterday another woman came forward to The Sun and alleged Brand stalked her down the street demanding sex.
