Fans of The Chase were left raging at their TV sets during the latest episode after three contestants decided to take low offers.
The ITV series was back for another instalment on Wednesday afternoon (October 4), with presenter Bradley Walsh at the helm. But although the gameshow made for compelling viewing, fans were left frustrated with the players on the programme.
After contestant number one David was quickly sent home when faced with Mark 'The Beast' Labbett, it was clear that remaining contestants, Samantha, Tom and Danae were shaken. This led all of them to go for lower offers than what they had earnt in their cashbuilder rounds.

Contestant number four Danae managed to gain £7,000 in her cash builder which gave the team- who only had £2,000 in their kitty- a glimpse of hope. But despite being offered an eye-watering £118,000, Danae decided to bypass this and go for £2,000, leaving presenter Bradley and viewers at home confused.
But due to the fact that none of them were brave enough to go high or stick to their original offers, fans at home were disappointed. Heading over to X, formerly known as Twitter, viewers shared their complaints.
One fan labelled the episode, "ludicrous". The viewer said: "This has to be one of the most ludicrous episodes of #thechase I’ve watched in years!!"
Another fan raged: "OMG!!!!!!!!! Why even go on a TV quiz? £118k and she turned it down. Hope they get caught now. A third fan complained: "I’m going to stop watching this s**t now, for my own sanity and getting a drink. I’d rather be pi**ed than pi**d off."
While a fourth angry viewer said: "Absolute bloody time wasters. To think actual people with spines could’ve been featured instead! C’mon Beastie!"
With things looking dire and all three contestants still in the final round, host Bradley was also left stunned by the team's actions. Commenting on their performances, he reminded them that they could have played for roughly £200,000.
Despite their not-so-confident disposition, all three players did a fantastic job in the final. Answering 20 questions correctly, it looked like the team could possibly win their £4,000.
But with The Beast on fire, things didn't go in the team's favour. With only two seconds to spare, the chaser managed to beat the team.
Sharing their thoughts on the final, one social media user wrote: "Tbf, they didn’t deserve to win owt, for going for the low offers." While another penned: "Very rarely do I root for the Chaser to win. Tonight was one of those rare times."
