ITV The Masked Singers most quirky line-up ever announced including Eiffel Tower and Air Fryer

The line-up for the new series of The Masked Singer has been unveiled including clues for each celebrity, ahead of the ITV show's return to TV screens on 30 December.

The new series will see Joel Dommett return as host and the judging panel remain unchanged, with Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan, Rita Ora and Jonathan Ross once again making up the panel.

The series sees various celebrities dress up in elaborate character costumes, with their identities hidden, while they perform well known songs. Viewers, along with the show’s panel, then try to work out who is behind the masks based on their voices and clues given throughout the series.

The new Masked Singer line-up might just be the wackiest yet, with 10 brand new characters being introduced.

The costumes on the upcoming series are: Bubble Tea, Air Fryer, Dippy Egg, Weather, Eiffel Tower, Rat, Maypole, Owl, Piranha, Cricket, Chicken Caesar and Bigfoot. TV bosses have also released a clue for each character ahead of the launch of the new series.

Bubble Tea said: "My favourite thing about becoming Bubble Tea is just being able to be really playful," and Air Fryer said: "Being on The Masked Singer is petrifying and freeing all at the same time.”

Dippy Egg said: “This is a once in a lifetime experience," while Weather hinted: “You know the weather is very unpredictable.”

Eiffel Tower said: “I’m a huge fan of the show, it was a blast," and Rat said:“The nerves I had for the Masked Singer are the worst nerves I’ve had in my entire life.”

Maypole said: “Keeping it secret actually hasn't been that hard for me. I've decided to just hide in plain sight!” while Owl exclaimed: "I just want to have fun!”

Piranha said: “Everything about this show is completely surreal," and Cricket hinted: "I like the fun content of The Masked Singer, I could be creative!”

Chicken Caesar said: “I'm Chicken Caesar! It's great to be here," and finally, Bigfoot said: "Bigfoot just wants to have a good time and for the audience to have a good time!"

Host Joel Dommett also dropped clues about the new series, branding it the "best" yet. He said: "Very excited. It's really cool. I think it's certainly the best series, but I think definitely my best series just because of my child arriving.

"I feel like it's all so joyous and fun. I am viewing it all in an entirely different way. I think that's what happens when you have children anyway and the fact that kids in the audience love it so much, I think it puts that entirely into a new context for me and I just love being a part of it."

The Masked Singer will return to screens at 7pm on ITV1 on 30 December.
