Holly Willoughby has no plans for This Morning return as hosts lined-up

Dermot and Alison send love to Holly

Holly Willoughby reportedly has “no plans” to return to This Morning for the time being after a man was arrested on suspicion of plotting to kidnap the mum of three.

On Friday, shopping centre security guard Gavin Plumb, 36, appeared in court charged with masterminding a plot against the This Morning host.

He was arrested after police uncovered “sinister messages” in a dark web chat room pertaining to Holly.

This Morning bosses were also alerted and took immediate action, resulting in Holly being pulled off screen.

It has since been reported that Holly, who usually presents This Morning between Monday and Thursday, will be replaced while she takes some time off.

A source has claimed she is struggling to decide whether she is ready to go on air again so soon.

“Holly can’t even get her head around returning to the show,” they said.

“There are no plans to get her back and stand-in hosts have been found.”

The source added to The Sun: “She’s being comforted by her family and has been swamped with support by friends, colleagues and co-presenters.”

They went on to claim HDirector of Daytime Emma Gormley was “in constant contact.”

On Friday’s This Morning, Dermot O’Leary addressed Holly’s absence from the show.

“We’re not going to talk too much about it but we have to start with a story about one of our own,” Dermot began.

“Holly is on the front pages this morning after police arrested a 36-year-old man over an alleged kidnap plot.

“He has now been charged by Essex Police.”

Alison went on: “We were obviously all shocked to hear the news and we want to send our love and biggest hugs to Holly and her family.”

Guest Gyles Brandreth chimed in: “A big hug to Holly. It’s a rough, tough world at times.”

Express.co.uk has reached out to ITV and representatives for Holly Willoughby for comment.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1.
