Holly Willoughby quits ITV’s This Morning after 14 years
It looks as though model and TV personality Abbey Clancy could be appearing on screens more regularly as she’s one of the names circulating to become This Morning’s new presenter.
This month, long-time host Holly Willoughby decided to leave the ITV show after 14 years, following Phillip Schofield’s departure earlier this year.
Fans of the flagship show have seen a roster of people stand in since Holly’s exit, including Alison Hammond, Craig Doyle and Josie Gibson, although it’s speculated bosses are keen for a married couple to take over.
37-year-old Abbey and her former footballer husband Peter Crouch have built up a big fan base throughout the years and have a popular podcast together, The Therapy Crouch.
Listeners tune in to hear the duo candidly discuss marriage and they even appeared as guests on This Morning this October.

According to The Sun, it looks as though she’s one of the favourites to take over from Holly with odds of 12/1.
A source said: “Abbey is great on camera, she comes across confidently and has an affable nature which would prove a hit with This Morning viewers.
“She’s one of the names that has been mentioned as a potential replacement for Holly.”
Another name in the running is Storm Huntley, who regularly hosts segments on Jeremy Vine’s Channel 5 show, with odds at 6/4.

Holly Willoughby decided to step down from her role on ITV after over a decade as she took to social media to reveal the news to her followers.
In a statement, she wrote: “I have let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning.
“To everyone who has ever worked on the show over the years, thank you so so much.
“This is such a difficult goodbye, you are incredible and I forever will be proud of what we’ve done together.
“Thank you to everyone at ITV for being supportive. To every guest who has sat on our sofa, thank you. Most of all, thank you to the wonderful viewers. You’ve been so loyal, so supportive and the very best company every day.
“Richard and Judy said ‘we only look after this show, it will always belong to the viewers’. It’s been an honour to just be part of its story and I know this story has many chapters left to go.
“Sadly, however, I now feel I have to make this decision for me and my family. I will miss you all so much. Holly”
This Morning continues weekdays on ITV from 10am
