Brewdog offer guests free pint (but there's a bit of a catch)

Brewdog offer customers a free pint – here’s how to get yours (but there’s a bit of a catch)

  • Pub chain Brewdog are running ‘perilously low’ on their Hazy Jane glasses
  • They are offering a free pint of Hazy Jane to anyone who returns a stolen glass
  • You have until the end of tomorrow to make the trade

As Brits, it’s no secret that we love a pint, and we also have a universal fascination with stealing pint glasses from the pub.

Almost everyone knows someone who is guilty of this and some people will even have a collection going on in their kitchen cupboards.

The pub chain Brewdog are all too familiar with having their glasses stolen, leading their CEO to give the public an offer they can’t refuse.

James Watt, CEO and Co-Founder of Brewdog, posted on LinkedIn last week that they are running ‘perilously low’ on their Hazy Jane glasses.

Therefore the chain are offering a free pint of Hazy Jane to anyone who returns a stolen Hazy Jane glass to Brewdog by the end of tomorrow.

‘Now, we don’t really mind our customers stealing the occasional glass from our bars.

‘In fact, if you are going to have a beer glass in your kitchen, we would actually rather it was a glass which you plundered from a BrewDog bar versus a Carling, Stella or Fosters glass.

‘However, perhaps down to the fact that our Hazy Jane is so beautiful so many have been stolen that we are now running perilously low! So, we are introducing the Great BrewDog Glass Amnesty.

‘Over the next week, simply visit any BrewDog bar, return a Hazy Jane glass which perhaps one of your friends maybe accidentally took home with them and we will fill up the glass with a delicious pint of Hazy Jane, for free.

‘Or more precisely, in exchange for bringing the glass back. Who says that crime doesn’t pay?’

The post has over 14,000 likes and 1,100 comments, with one user joking ‘Does this mean if I order a pint and bring the glass back to the bar once it’s empty, I get a free refill?’

Another said ‘Asking for a friend, is there a limit on how many he can bring back?’

They think the amnesty idea is ‘great’ but the brand could even offer a pint with a bonus of keeping the glass for an extra £1.50.

Fan favourite Hazy Jane is an IPA with notes of pineapple, mango, stone-fruit, and a hint of tangerine.

It’s iconic glasses are so sought after that they’re even being flogged on eBay for £10.50 a piece.

However, from the Official Brewdog store on Amazon, you can get a Hazy Jane gift pack of six 330ml cans and the iconic glass for £25.95.
