James Haskell shares sadness as he breaks silence after Chloe Madeley split

James Haskell has broken his silence after his split from Chloe Madeley was confirmed. The rugby player told his 570,000 Instagram followers that he was feeling “a lot of sadness” after their statement was released earlier in the day.

He wrote: “It’s with a lot of sadness I write this post, but unfortunately, in the world we live in, it has to be done.

“My priority is my daughter’s and Chloe’s happiness and security. For that reason, I won’t be commenting any further.”

The 38-year-old reshared his joint statement with Chloe which revealed the pair had been secretly separated since September.

It read: “James and I mutually decided to separate at the end of September, 2023.

“We had not planned on releasing a statement at this time – certainly not while the television show was airing – but constant speculation about our marriage has, unfortunately, forced our hand.

“Beyond this statement, we will not be speaking about this matter publicly, and we would request privacy at this time.

“Our sole focus now is our beautiful daughter. We shall continue to co-parent with nothing but love.”

James and Chloe married in 2018 after meeting four years earlier.

Their split comes just 14 months after they welcomed their baby daughter, Bodhi.

The news also comes ahead of the finale of Chloe’s ITV reality show, Chloe Madeley: A Family Affair, which will air on Monday.

Chloe and James’s relationship has made headlines in recent weeks after they were both seen without their wedding rings on multiple occasions.

Earlier this week, they reunited back at their London home. Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan’s daughter and James both took to Instagram to share a video of Bodhi having fun in a car.

The ex rugby star was heard commenting behind the camera as Chloe cheered on and high fived their first born as she drove past.

In view of his 569,000 followers, James wrote: “Bodhi keeping the drive bye high-fives tight.”
