A 71-year-old man was apparently crushed to death when he became trapped in an automatic car wash in Spain.
The victim, not named in local media, became trapped between a car and the moving steel framework of the car wash in Gandia, near Valencia, at around 5:30 pm on December 10.
The car wash is understood to have been located between the CV-670 road and Grau Avenue.
It is currently unclear if he had tried to leave a vehicle in the middle of a wash or if he had mistakenly walked in while it was operating.
Firefighters could only get him free by removing the car after they found him unconscious and without a pulse.

They tried to revive him with a defibrillator and CPR but paramedics later declared him dead at the scene.
Photographs show the automated car wash after it was cordoned off by the police following the bizarre accident.
The authorities told local media that the victim suffered severe head and chest trauma before he died. It is not known if he had any family, and whether they have been informed of his passing.
It comes after MailOnline earlier this year revealed that a grandfather killed after becoming trapped in a car wash in Melbourne, Australia, was a beloved father of two and grandfather and an active member of the Greek community when his life was tragically cut short.
Athanasios Papageorgiou was left fighting for his life after becoming trapped inside the car wash at a Puma branded service station in Springvale, southeast of Melbourne, in November 2019. He died three days later.
He had told his wife Maria he was simply going out to get fuel when a snap decision to wash his car ended in tragedy.
‘He went to fill the car, something happened to the machine and he died of suffocation,’ she told friends and family via social media at the time.
Just days earlier, Mr Papageorgiou could be seen enjoying a traditional Greek event at the Greek Community of Springvale and District tavern where he was a regular.
