As her boyfriend and former Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson is in the I'm a Celeb jungle, Zara McDermott, 26, has gushed to fans how 'proud' she is of him.
The star, who competed on Strictly Come Dancing this year, took to social media to say that Sam, 32, is a "real inspiration to the ADHD community. So proud of you" and posted a video of him explaining the reality of his ADHD struggles.
Sam was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 30 and last night's episode of I'm a Celeb gave viewers a further insight into it as he explained to JLS singer Marvin Humes how it can really impact his emotions.
Sam said: "When the low bits happen, like it goes low. But then the highs are really high. My girlfriend Zara is just so steady and it's so good for me. When she's going steady, I'm going like that [gestures up and down]. So it's so nice to have someone that's just like keeping you going."
Sam then also admitted to his jungle campmates that he feels his ADHD makes him "selfish" when it comes to his relationship with girlfriend Zara.
He continued: "My time keeping is terrible. I get quite selfish, not just with her, with everyone, my mates or whatever. My listening to Zara… I’m just finding myself staring off at something completely different. You sort of feel like you’re a bit of a k*** sometimes.”
"Weird no one spotted it beforehand at school, but if you look at all of my report cards, every single one says the same, it says: ‘Likeable enough guy, but lacks focus’. It’s staring at you in the face. If I’d known as a kid, not much would have changed, but how you feel about yourself probably changes.
"I remember crying into my textbook because I couldn’t understand the words going into my head. You want to do good. You don’t want to be mischievous or anything like that.”
Sam then confessed to Marvin and Josie that he wants to "be a dad at some point", before Marvin, who is married to Rochelle Humes and shares three children together, sweetly said: “You would be the most incredible dad.”
