Strictlys Adam Thomas addresses difficulty ahead of next live performance

Strictly: Ryan Thomas cries at Adam Thomas’ performance

Adam Thomas, 35, and his professional Strictly Come Dancing partner Luba Mushtuk opened up about a “difficulty” he is facing with his upcoming dance routine.

This Saturday night, the duo will be performing a Couple’s Choice to a Backstreet Boys medley.

Speaking about their training on Thursday’s instalment of It Takes Two, Adam said: “It was quite daunting at first because normally it’s like just me and Luba in the room going through the routine.

“So there was like three or four of us in the room on the Monday and everyone was trying to teach me the routine.

“It was a lot to take in, but I feel this is possibly one of the hardest routines I’ve had so far, probably because I am on my own quite a lot.

“Normally I have Luba’s support but for this one, I am on my own quite a lot throughout the dance.

“I am finding it a little bit more difficult than the rest but we are getting there – we are getting there.”

Luba, 33, added: “It’s really entertaining, it’s the most entertaining dance we have done so far, so I think people will love it.”

Speaking to host Tess Daly after the stunning performance, Adam said: “I loved it, it is like a movie out there.”

Tess replied: “The Waltz suits you, and your brother was crying.”

Looking over at his brother Ryan Thomas in the audience, Adam quipped: “Was he crying bless him? We’re so emotional!”

The judges were blown away with Adam’s Waltz, with Craig Revel Horwood telling the star: “Adam… That is a bit more like it! Welcome to the competition darling.”

Anton Du Beke, who was “stunned” by his performance, exclaimed: “I can’t even speak it was that good! I am stunned with how much you have improved.”

The actor received an eight from all four judges which landed him a total of 32 points.

Will Adam be able to top the leaderboard this week with his Backstreet Boys medley?
