MORNING Live presenter Gethin Jones told the audience his "heart stopped" as an off-camera accident left him scrambling to get back on set as he returned to screens.
The telly star had a long weekend off work while away celebrating a friend's wedding in France, and just returned to the breakfast show this morning.
But his return was a chaotic one, as his co-host Michelle Ackerley got tangled up in a cable and barely made the red sofa on time.
Gethin told watchers that he had to save her before she tripped, which led to him lagging behind when the show started.
He had to shout to producers that he was on his way when the cameras started rolling before he made it on-screen.
He said: "Michelle got stuck in a camera cable it was quite…honestly my heart stopped then, you almost fell into the studio."

The 37-year-old host added: "I got my foot stuck, he had to take my shoe out of the wire, that was close."
The pair were laughing nervously at their close call, and had to take a deep breath before they were able to begin presenting their regular morning segment.
When Michelle introduced the show and commented on the heatwave, Gethin responded: "We got here! It's lovely, it was almost ruined a minute ago with that."
The Welsh presenter recently posted a series of sweet photos from the wedding celebrations of former rugby player Jamie Roberts and brand designer Nicole Ramson.
