Matty has been crowned the winner of the 14th series of The Great British Bake Off, but some fans are claiming that runner-up Josh was "cheated out of winning".
On Tuesday's episode of the Channel 4 programme, PE and science teacher Matty from Cambridgeshire was joined by fellow finalists Josh and Dan to make their final bakes.
The trio were tasked with a choux pastry signature, a sticky technical challenge and a celebration cake showstopper. Presenter Alison Hammond announced that Matty had won the show and upon hearing this, the 28 year old, who has described himself as an "underdog", expressed his surprise.
While many celebrated Matty's victory, some other fans went online to express their disapproval and claimed that runner up Josh should have won and was 'robbed'.
One passionate viewer said: "Josh was robbed, all due respect to Matty", while another added: "Still wildly confused as to why Josh didn’t win. Weird."
A third penned: "Josh was robbed..what were the judges thinking?", while another added: "Matty is lovely but Josh should have won! Judges were unnecessarily harsh and quite frankly mean to Josh! His showstopper was anything but boring!"
"Do feel gutted for Josh because he has very consistently good throughout, but Matty was always my favourite from the start. Stumbling their way through underdogs for the win!", another said.
Paul Hollywood said that Matty "got better and better and better" as the series went on. "If you are going to smash it you do it in the last challenge, and that is exactly what he did," he said. "That chocolate cake was one of the best chocolate cakes I have had for a long, long time."
Josh was crowned Star Baker in last week's semi-final, while Tasha had to bid farewell as she was eliminated from the competition.
Tasha said in her emotional goodbye: "This is the scariest thing I've ever done, but I just wish I could relive it all over again because oh my goodness what a DREAM it was!"
The Great British Bake Off returned to our screens in September, with 12 new amateur bakers hoping to go far in the competition.
Fans expressed their support for all three finalists ahead of the final episode. One fan said: "All worthy contenders. They've been great in the tent!", while another added: "All of them would make worthy winners. All the best guys".
Another fan shared: "I love this group of bakers and don't want anyone to go!".
Judge Paul Hollywood hinted at who might win the baking competition, telling OK!: "I am really happy. The right person won and I didn't expect it from the beginning."
