AN MMA bout ended in gruesome fashion as a fighter's ear EXPLODED and was left hanging off.
St Petersberg in Russia played host to the ACA welterweight grand prix with Edil Esengulov and Vinicius Cruz in action.
But in round four, no one could prepare fans for the gory scenes when Esengulov burst the ear of Cruz.
Esengulov was on top of Cruz laying down some strikes when he elbowed his opponent.
Astonishingly, Cruz's ear then burst completely with blood shed across the cage.
His ear was left hanging off leaving the doctor and referee no choice but to award Esengulov the stoppage victory.

Fans were also in disbelief that Cruz was pleading to fight on as one said: "He wanted to continue?!"
Another said: "DUDE your ear exploded they had no choice they had to stop the fight."
One questioned: "The corner yelling "tell them you still want to fight" even tho bro's ear is literally hanging is crazy to me."
