People believe they've found the “correct” way to open an Oxo cube – and it could save you a lot of effort.
Instead of wasting time peeling off the wrapping and boiling the kettle, you should crush the packet instead. By doing this, you won't need to get your hands mucky by crumbling the cube.
To avoid getting any stock powder on your hands, simply release the flaps at the side and tip it into your pan. It should dissolve more quickly than dropping the whole cube in.

And what's more, it should also prevent half-dissolved granules from ending up on your plate by accident.
The hack first went viral back in 2016 – but it still applies today. And for years, people have been mind-blown by the cooking tip.
While we were a bit sceptical at first, we gave it a go and took some pictures of the process. And we have to admit, it was surprisingly easy to do.
The response was equally positive on Reddit, where one responder remarked: “Game changer.” Another said: “I was today days old.”
A third wrote: “You WHAT?!” And a fourth joked: “I’m going to start living the best years of my life. Right about…….. now!”
