MARTIN Lewis has issued an urgent warning to all drivers who could save £100s by making a quick move.
Car insurance premiums are on the rise and only expected to go up further.
But Martin Lewis' MoneySavingExpert.com has revealed how you could save potentially £100s by switching to a new deal now.
The website's latest newsletter said: "Take a few minutes to check if you're overpaying.
"If you are, even if you're not near renewal, you may be able to lock in a price to forestall future increases for a year."
Of course, bear in mind if you are switching car insurance premiums midway through a contract you might have to pay an early exit fee.

They said their car insurance renewal was a whopping £1,122, but found a better deal with lower excess for £384, saving £738.
It comes as home insurance premiums increase too, in a double-blow for households.
The Association of British Insurers (ABI), which represents the sector, said the average price for a policy rose by 10% between April to June 2022 and the same period this year.
How else to save money on car insurance
Staying on the ball and switching up your car insurance premium is just one way to save money.
Even the timing of renewing your car insurance could save you £200, according to one expert.
Ryan Fulthorpe, from Go Compare, said locking in a quote 27 days before your new policy starts will see you get the best price.
The exact day might vary depending on your specific policy and circumstances though.
Either way, renew it too late and you're likely to end up paying much more than if you had acted sooner.
Meanwhile, a pay-per-mile policy might save you some money, if you're someone who drives a limited amount.
Julie Daniels, motor insurance expert at Compare the Market, previously told The Sun nearly one in five motorists who drive less than 4,000 miles each year could save up to £168 by swapping to one of these policies instead of an annual comprehensive package.
You could also save some money having a black box installed, like savvy mum Kate Tynan who reduced her premium by £250 with one of the gadgets.
