A WHOLESOME nan has left social media users in hysterics after transforming a relative's ripped jeans they had left at hers.
The so-called distressed denim trend used to be all the rage a few years ago, with everyone flashing their knees and thighs.
However, there's always been one part of the demographic who's never quite understood the obsession with ripped clothing – grandmas.
And it seems one such elderly woman, a relative of Maria Ahokas, hates the look of distressed jeans she decided to take drastic action after someone in the family had left a pair at her home.
Instead of calling the relative and storing the bottoms in the wardrobe, the nan thought the ripped denim bottoms were in a dire need of fixing.
Sat all cosy in her sofa, the grandma then began to stitch the openings together one by one, adding intricate patches of lace fabric inbetween.

The final result, Maria shared in a video posted on TikTok, were skinny jeans with random bits of fabric around the thigh and knee area.
In the now-viral clip, which has racked up a whopping 1.5million views, you can also see the artist behind the masterpiece – the grandma who was already working on a different project.
Needless to say, the wholesome video has left people in hysterics, as hundreds flocked to comments.
It looks like the nan's natural talent didn't go unnoticed, as several people insisted the new look was ''kind of a vibe''.
