THEY say you can take the girl out of Essex, but you can’t take Essex out of the girl.
However, when it comes to The Only Way is Essex star Chloe Sims’ new lavish LA life, it’s clear it couldn’t be further than the streets of Brentwood and hanging out at former hotspot, The Sugar Hut.
Chloe, 42, sprang to fame on the ITV reality show in 2011, alongside her younger brother Charlie Sims – then in a relationship with Ferne McCann – and cousin Joey Essex.
She quickly became known for her larger-than-life personality and caring nature, becoming a bit of a mother hen figure to her younger cast members, including close friend Diags.
But it wasn’t long before her own love life took centre stage thanks to relationships with co-stars Mario Falcone, Elliot Wright and an explosive on again off again romance with best mate Pete Wicks.
All of this led to her after being one of the main stars of the show and – after more than a decade – Chloe was simply part of TOWIE’s furniture.

So when Chloe sensationally quit the ITVBe show back in July 2022 after eleven years, fans hoped she wouldn’t be absent from their screens for too long.
But none of them could have predicted that she would be leaving Essex behind for good.
Soon after, Chloe revealed her plans to break the States, as she announced that she and her siblings – Charlie and sisters Demi, Chloe and Frankie – had landed their very own Kardashian style reality show called House of Sims.
So following in the footsteps of fellow TOWIE alumni Mark Wright before her (who made a name for himself as an Extra TV host before coming back to the UK), Chloe went on to ditch Brentwood high street in favour of Hollywood Boulevard.

At the beginning of 2023, Chloe packed up her stuff and jetted off to LA to start her new chapter, moving there permanently, as the cameras followed her every move.
Since, she’s built a life – and increasingly a name – for herself Stateside alongside 18-year-old daughter, Maddie.
“Life in LA is amazing,” Chloe said in an interview earlier this year, as she admitted it took a while to properly find her feet.
I'm not who I am in the UK
She continued: “But overall, I’m settled and living normally – not out of a suitcase.
“I’m not who I am in the UK. I’ve had time off from being famous, but I’m hoping that everyone in the city is going to know my name eventually.”
And it seems her wish is definitely coming true. Here, we take a look at her new LA life – including her posh pad, showbiz pals, and how she bagged an invite to Hollywood hunk Leonardo DiCaprio’s birthday celebrations…
REALITY ROYALTY
America may have The Kardashian’s – but the Sims’ are snapping at their heels.
Chloe and her four siblings have taken the reality circuit by storm thanks to their show, House of Sims, which began airing on US channel OFTV – Only Fans’ free streaming service – in May.
An official synopsis for the series reads: “British reality TV royalty, The Sims Family, pack up their lives in Essex to make it big in Hollywood.
“Follow Chloe, Charlie, Frankie, Demi, and [Charlie’s girlfriend] Georgia as they chase their dreams while living together under one roof.”
And the show certainly caught US’ watchers’ attention, as the show had its own giant billboard on Sunset Boulevard, and Chloe even landed an interview with respected entertainment website Variety to discuss her part in it.
In the chat, she said: “We landed in America completely blind. We had a house for a month, we didn’t know our way around!

“Even getting a reservation at a restaurant isn’t easy when you’re not famous here. It’s been a bit of humble pie for me.”
After entertaining viewers with an explosive season one, the family were thrilled when they landed a second installment, with some reporting they’ve now got a multi-series £1 million deal.
Teasing what is to come, Chloe said: “You have been on our journey from Essex to LA, you have seen us rise and support each other as a family, but this season will expose who is cut from the same cloth!
“Stay tuned, as we unravel a huge season 2 as the Sims family’s biggest challenge isn’t to keep the Hollywood dream alive, but to keep the family together!”
BOSS GIRL
Chloe’s not just storming it on screen – she’s also making a name for herself behind-the-scenes.
Chloe and her brother and sisters are all executive producers for their show, adding another string to their bows.
Speaking about their new venture she posted a picture of her and Charlie – who masterminded the deal with OnlyFans – in Sunset Boulevard.
She then wrote: “Just 2 Executive Producers.
“Who would have thought all those years ago me and Charlie would be in Hollywood doing our thing?
“Forever grateful to him and @watchoftv.”
A-LIST PALS
Thanks to her new show, as well as her friendship with former TOWIE co-star and LA socialite Vas J. Morgan, Chloe has been hanging out with some seriously impressive stars.
Speaking to Closer, Chloe revealed: “I’ve brushed shoulders with so many people.
“I’ve been to a lot of parties – Vas hosts them, so luckily I’m invited.”
These have included several music parties and a pre-Oscars dinner.
But the cherry on top of the cake came when she nabbed an invite to none other than Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio’s 49th birthday party in November.
Chloe was snapped walking into the VIP bash held in Beverly Hills wearing a figure-hugging black dress.

Names on the guest list reportedly included Kim Kardashian, Zoe Kravitz and fiancé Channing Tatum, and Zoe Saldana.
While there, she shared a snap to her social media account of her sitting next to pop star Rita Ora, alongside the caption: “Just love and respect at this table.”
Rita – who is one of Vas’ closest friends, alongside the likes of Lindsay Lohan – has also lent her support to Chloe’s show.
When Chloe posted about the series’ launch on her Instagram account by posting a glam cast shot, Rita was among the first to comment, as she typed: “They’re coming” alongside a string of love hearts.
And it seems they’re now moving in different circles, as Chloe and her sisters have been spotted filming scenes for the second series of the show during nights out with celebrities like Paris Hilton and Megan Fox.
LIVING IT UP
She already had a mansion in Essex, but now Chloe has taken it up another notch, and is living in style next to Hollywood neighbours.
For the show, The Sims lived in a rented house with a pool in the trendy Bel Air neighbourhood of Los Angeles.
And the family have given fans a few glimpses into their plush property, which boasts huge bedrooms, large living room and a massive outdoor swimming pool.
Elsewhere, they have plenty of room to entertain guests with a large, luxury kitchen and dining area.
But one of the best parts of their new home is the stunning views of LA, including their neighbours’ equally big homes.
NEW TYPE
She may have been linked to former co-stars like Pete Wicks and even enjoyed secret romances with eligible bachelors out of the public eye.
But since moving to LA, Chloe’s revealed that even her taste in men has dramatically changed.
She told Closer earlier this year: “I’ve been on some dates here, but nothing that’s gone anywhere.”
Chloe then said that she might end up with an American man, as she quipped: “I didn’t like Essex boys when I was there. I’ve forgotten all about them!”
