Nate begins by telling viewers: “it’s that time of year when you want to begin dipping cheese toasties into soup.”

“Here is an air fryer red pepper soup,” he continues. “It is probably the easiest soup that you’ll make in your life.”

The nifty chef begins by adding 500g of cherry tomatoes, three sliced red peppers, a diced red onion, tablespoon of olive oil, three garlic cloves and some seasoning in to the airfryer, before roasting for 20 minutes at 200C.

You then want to add 250ml of vegetable stock and 150ml of double cream, as well as a handful of fresh basil.

Blitz it in the basket using a wand blender, and voilà – you have enough broth to feed four people.

For the cheese toastie, simply stick a slice of cheese between two thick slices of bread and butter the outside to get that delicious crunchy glaze.

Air fry for scene minutes at 200, and you’ll have the perfect melty sandwich for dunking in your soup.

“Heaven,” the savvy chef concludes as he dips the oozing toasty into the tomato and pepper mix.

But while the result undeniably looked delicious, some viewers were rather disturbed by the idea of putting liquid in an airfryer – and particularly the washing up it would entail.

“If you make the soup in my air fryer it’ll just taste of layers of fish fingers and goujons,” one joked.

“You can just buy tomato soup and it will save a lot of time and washing up,” another added.
