A CLEANING pro has revealed the three common mistakes that many people make when cleaning their bathroom.
So if you want your home to shine, you’ll need to pay attention.
Posting online, the 23-year-old cleaning whizz, who is known on social media as ‘The Amateur Cleaner’, has shared the things you need to stop doing when cleaning your bathroom.
She said: “Three cleaning mistakes you are making in your bathroom.”
Firstly, she explained that you mustn't clean mirrors with the light off, as she noted: “Leaving the light on while cleaning the mirror.”
Secondly, according to this woman, it’s time to ditch microfiber cloths when it comes to getting your loo clean, as she continued: “Using reusable cloths for toilets.”

Finally, if you mop the floor around your toilet, you’ll need to pay attention, as the cleaner advised: “Don’t mop around your toilet! Use wipes!”
When asked: “Why turn off the lights to clean the mirror?”, the cleaning whizz replied “To prevent streaks! The heat from the light makes streaks!”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @theamateurcleaner, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed a whopping 344,200 views.
Social media users were thankful for the advice and were eager to share this in the comments.

However, someone else disagreed and commented: “Using cloths is way better, since paper towels and wipes aren't eco friendly.”
To this, the cleaning fan replied: “Washing machines are not eco friendly!”
Not only this, but the TikToker also revealed that there’s three places in your home where you should never use a microfiber cloth.
According to the cleaning expert, microfiber cloths shouldn’t be used on toilets, sinks and floors.
She explained: “The problem is when you clean, the cloths’ bacteria gets trapped in the fibres and you may use it on another surface.
“I worked in infection control. This is common knowledge in the cleaning world.”
She also explained: “These spots are the dirtiest place in your home.
“I have a lot of training in infection control and I could never.
“This tip is mostly for bathroom floors. I always use disposable as there is a lot of pee on the floor.
“I use paper towels for toilets and floors. Then for sinks I spray Lysol before I clean with a sponge. Then rinse.”
