A REALTOR has had a tiny home built in her backyard in super-quick time.
It took just 48 minutes to erect the structure that she figured would be great for granny.
But there were many detractors in the comments to her post, which has sparked a flurry of debate.
Her video has had over 245,000 likes but the critics suggested tiny house was no fit place for an elderly person because there was no plumbing or electrics.
But fans drowned out their voices, considering it a great solution to the housing crisis.
Kristina Smallhorn (@kristinasmallhorn), who has 30,000 followers, has shrugged off the doubters.
This lady knows what she is talking about when it comes to property and she is, in her own modest way, trying to address the housing problem.
“Mom, realtor and YouTuber for affordable housing options," is how she describes herself on her TikTok.
In her post, she showed how a tiny house was constructed on her property.
“Build a granny flat or tiny home in your backyard in 48 minutes," she wrote.

“A company came to my house and built this house," she said.
“It took an hour to unpack everything but it only took them 48 minutes to put the whole thing together."
Once the finishing touches had been added, the total time came to four hours.
Not all commenters were thrilled with the idea, considering the construction far too basic for an elderly person.
“Granny out there with no water? No thanks," said one person.
“You have a shed. No plumbing, insulation, inside walls, bathroom, [or] wiring," said a second.
But there were far more who saw it as the answer to accommodating the next generation.
“I'm seriously considering having a couple of these built in my yard for my young adult kids. Houses here are just not affordable," said this viewer.

Another agreed: “I’d love this for my grown kids. They can still be near me but away from me. I would’t mind them coming in to use the bathroom.”
And a pat on the back from this fan: “I love it. Tiny houses are such a good idea. You are such a great person for taking in your mother. Most people don’t anymore.”
