<\/p>\nEVERYONE loves a good takeaway but in the current cost of living crisis, it\u2019s become a bit of a luxury for most of us.<\/p>\n
But shoppers have spotted bargain ready meals on the shelves in Lidl and they will cost you less than a quid.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\n<\/p>\n
Spag bol lovers will be pleased to know you can get a 400g cheese and tomato spaghetti bolognese ready meal for just 85p from Lidl.<\/p>\n
Chinese takeaway fans haven't been forgotten either, Lidl also has a sweet and sour chicken curry and rice for the same price.\u00a0<\/p>\n
One happy customer flocked to Facebook to share the tasty deals.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He said in the Extreme Couponing And Bargains UK group: \u201cThese are a real bargain in Lidl and they\u2019re really tasty.\u201d<\/p>\n
The post racked up over 200 likes and 2000 comments but Facebook users were debating whether or not the price was too good to be true.\u00a0<\/p>\n One user said: \u201cA meal is a meal to some people. I\u2019ll be trying them.\u201d<\/p>\n Another said: \u201cSweet and Sour looks okay.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe spag bowl is the nicest ready meal I\u2019ve had from any supermarket too, really tasty!!\u201d<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n Some shoppers said they believed the ready meals must have no nutritional value in order for the price to be that low.\u00a0<\/p>\n One user said: \u201cThey\u2019re gross. Don\u2019t try them.\u201d<\/p>\n Another said: \u201cYou have to ask what type of ingredients are in them to be sold for 85p.\u201d<\/p>\n But there is no debate that the Lidl deal is far cheaper than regular takeaway.\u00a0<\/p>\n KMPG says Brits are forking out an average of \u00a3451 each a year on classic takeaways.<\/p>\n According to the Office of National Statistics (ONS), takeaway prices went up by an average of 15% in the 12 months leading up to March 2023.<\/p>\n The Statista Research Department found a Chinese takeaway in 2017 cost \u00a39.86 per head on average whilst an Italian would set you back \u00a310.26, but that would usually include pizza.\u00a0<\/p>\n You could save around \u00a3407 a year by swapping your weekly takeaway for a fakeaway meal like the ones in Lidl.\u00a0<\/p>\n If you're looking for more ways to save on takeaways consider only ordering on discount days.\u00a0<\/p>\n Don\u2019t forget certain takeaway providers do great deals on everyday groceries as well.\u00a0<\/p>\n Compare your favourite takeaways on different delivery apps and be sure to check if you can get cashback.<\/p>\n The\u00a0LatestDeals app\u00a0can tell you which delivery apps have the best deals including Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat.<\/p>\n In other news, shoppers are going wild for \u2018absolutely beautiful\u2019 new treat based on iconic 90s childhood dessert.<\/p>\n![](\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/newspress-collage-24301094-1696581300739.jpg\")
