<\/p>\nCoronation Street star Charlotte Jordan is known as her fan-favourite character Daisy Midgeley on the ITV Cobbles.<\/p>\n
But what fans may not know is that the brunette beauty has a secret musical past before she found fame as the loveable barmaid on the silver screen. The 26-year-old actress first launched her showbiz career in 2007 when she bagged a role on The Bill in 2007 at the age of 12.<\/p>\n
She then went on to land a regular role on a Nickelodeon\u2019s kids show titled Summer in Transylvania which she held for three years. It wasn\u2019t until 2011 that the now Corrie star thought she made it as a performer when she was auditioned to join a girl group launched by an infamous Spice Girl.<\/p>\n

And it\u2019s fair to say that the star shared the mic with some famous faces after she was scouted for the up-and-coming girl group with none other than music sensation Geri Halliwell. When the soap star was just 16 years old, Charlotte joined the unnamed girl group for just over two years but sadly the group didn\u2019t end up releasing their music.<\/p>\n

Speaking to The Mirror, the actress revealed: \u201cI was with them for over two years, but we never even got launched in the end.\u201d She went on to reveal that the group took their work very seriously and recorded several songs and learnt complex choreography to their sensational hits.<\/p>\n
Charlotte also told the publication that the girls had \u201cbonded and developed a rapport\u201d but didn\u2019t take the plunge to release even one single. But that wasn\u2019t the main issue within the band, as the TV star explained the group couldn\u2019t even \u201csettle\u201d on their band name.<\/p>\n

She then added: \u201cWe went through so many different names that eventually the management just referred to us as The Band. It was quite the learning curve. I thought maybe it would be different if I was on my own, but it wasn\u2019t. It was only when I got a bit older that I realised acting was what I wanted.\u201d<\/p>\n

As well as securing a role on the ITV soap back in 2020, Charlotte has also appeared in various other soaps including medical BBC drama Casualty. She also landed the part of Gabby Grant in the hit Netflix show Free Rein which she has since also played in two spin-off films.<\/p>\n
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV1 and ITVX at 8pm<\/i><\/p>\n
