Davis, 37, is now facing charges for abusing his power and authority to convince peers to issue a mental health evaluation and section his girlfriend, Michelle Perfanov, in August.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Davis is married with kids, according to police records, but was having a relationship with Perfanov, also 37.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>They were together for around for months until the romance soured.\u00a0He then told her he would make her &#8216;look crazy&#8217; &#8211; and did.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/25\/21\/75825661-12559385-image-a-2_1695673543356.jpg\" height=\"634\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Ronald K. Davis, 37, is now facing charges for abusing his power and authority to convince peers to issue a mental health evaluation and section his girlfriend, Michelle Perfanov, in August<\/p>\n<p>Pennsylvania State Police confirmed Davis had been suspended without pay today.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He is also facing felony strangulation and false imprisonment charges.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On August 21, Davis, who was off-duty at the time, and another cop tracked Perfanov down to a wooded area where she was trying to escape him.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He claimed he was trying to &#8216;help her&#8217;, but sat on her, fought with her and subdued her for over 12 minutes. F**k around and find out. Get out of my house now.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>She had told him she was going to drive &#8216;off a cliff&#8217;, but later told police she was not suicidal, and only said it to &#8216;illicit a reaction&#8217;.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Davis was off-duty at the time of the arrest.<\/p>\n<p>He had first gone to the station to obtain the involuntary commitment petition, then told his colleagues that he would take matters into his own hands after they were unable to find Perfanov.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I&#8217;ll take care of it myself,&#8217; he said, before going off to find her.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Assisted by a &#8216;civilian companion,&#8217; he then tracked her to the Pennsylvania State Game Lands in Weiser State Forest and attempted to carry her to his car before she began to fight back.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/25\/13\/75798513-12556677-Perfanov_had_no_understanding_of_why_she_was_being_arrested_by_h-a-2_1695646764483.jpg\" height=\"679\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Perfanov had no understanding of why she was being arrested by her boyfriend, or why she was then taken to the hospital<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/25\/13\/75798507-12556677-Perfanov_had_no_understanding_of_why_she_was_being_arrested_She_-a-3_1695646764545.jpg\" height=\"738\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Perfanov had no understanding of why she was being arrested. She spent five days in the hospital because Davis had been able to obtain a petition\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Video released by the DA&#8217;s office shows her lying beneath him, streaked with dirt and nearly half his size, almost freeing herself from his grip, before being slammed back down.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>She was taken to the hospital and held for five days before being released on August 26.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>That is when she told cops how their romance fell apart.
