It\u2019s the TV comeback we\u2019ve all been waiting for \u2013 Lauren Goodger back on the screens of TOWIE.<\/p>\n

And after speculation about her making a return to the show reached fever pitch last week, OK!<\/b> has been told that the rumours appear to be true! <\/p>\n

A source close to the reality star \u2013 who made her on-screen debut in the first series a whopping 13 years ago \u2013 said Lauren, 37, \u201cfeels like it\u2019s the right time to make a return\u201d, adding, \u201cShe would consider going back this time.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt would be a bit of a shock for viewers, but she\u2019s getting a lot of love at the moment. It would be so exciting to see her on the show as she is now \u2013 as a single mum back out in the dating world.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clips from Lauren\u2019s time on TOWIE have been doing the rounds on social media in recent weeks, with resurfaced videos from her relationship with ex-fianc\u00e9 Mark Wright gaining mass attention on TikTok.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis was when TOWIE was good,\u201d one fan commented on a clip showing baby-faced Lauren awkwardly bump into her ex\u2019s mum Carol Wright at the supermarket.<\/p>\n

Another wrote on the clip, \u201cThey don\u2019t make TV this like these days.\u201d<\/p>\n

The nostalgic videos have left a number of fans desperate for Lauren\u2019s return.<\/p>\n

She said goodbye to the show in 2012, with many speculating she left the show following fallouts with some of her castmates.<\/p>\n

Another viral video attracted huge sympathy for Lauren. The clip shows Mark telling mum Carol and sister Jess Wright of his plans to propose to Lauren, after which they\u2019re seen laughing at the idea.<\/p>\n

\u201cPoor Lauren, she had a lucky escape,\u201d one fan wrote. Another added, \u201cI actually don\u2019t know what Lauren ever did for them all to be so nasty to her.\u201d<\/p>\n

The past few years have been tough for Lauren. In July 2022, she tragically lost her baby daughter Lorena due to labour complications, just days after her former partner Jake McLean died in a car crash. Weeks later, her ex Charles Drury was charged with assaulting her.<\/p>\n

Lauren is said to be feeling overwhelmed by the new wave of support for her online.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe public reception has been really positive towards her,\u201d our source explained. \u201cShe loved being a part of the show and she feels a massive sense of nostalgia about it.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven though it was some of the most difficult times, she had some of the best times and has happy memories from it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lauren \u2013 who has a two-year-old daughter Larose \u2013 endured a famously rocky relationship with the Wright family during her time on TOWIE, having dated Mark for a decade.<\/p>\n

They were engaged for five months before splitting in 2012.<\/p>\n

After their very public break-up, Lauren became embroiled in several dramatic spats with his numerous new love interests, including Lucy Mecklenburgh and Sam Faiers.<\/p>\n

She then left the show, claiming she\u2019d made the decision after facing intense scrutiny over her weight, telling a newspaper at the time she was under \u201cso much pressure\u201d and compared herself against the other \u201cskinny\u201d girls on the show.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe all had different body shapes, and I\u2019m not being horrible, but I don\u2019t like boob jobs or even want to be really thin,\u201d she later said. \u201cI just want to keep my curves and be a little more toned.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut next to the others, I\u2019d be panicking over whether my arms looked fat or how big I\u2019d look if I was sitting down.\u201d<\/p>\n

The majority of the original TOWIE cast have said their goodbyes and moved on to other projects \u2013 another reason why our source believes now is the perfect time for Lauren\u2019s eagerly anticipated comeback.<\/p>\n

She\u2019s already struck up a great relationship with the current stars of the show.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of the original cast have parted ways, but she\u2019s now friendly with a lot of the new cast,\u201d the source told OK!<\/b> . <\/p>\n

\u201cShe has had meetings about returning over the years, but truthfully she felt she didn\u2019t really have a place on the show, because a lot of her friends had also left.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lauren fuelled rumours of a grand return last week when she was papped enjoying a night out with current TOWIE cast member Junaid Ahmed.<\/p>\n

Junaid, 28, shared a photo of the pair cosying up while out for drinks at Sheesh restaurant in Chigwell, captioning the post, \u201cMy girly @Laurengoodger\u201d, alongside a heart emoji.<\/p>\n

Lauren replied to the post with a heart emoji, while fans were quick to comment on the post, pleading with Junaid to get Lauren back among the cast.<\/p>\n

One wrote, \u201cLauren back in TOWIE would be great,\u201d while a second added, \u201cMy two actual TOWIE faves.\u201d<\/p>\n

Our source continued, \u201cShe knows newbies Junaid and Chlo\u00e9 Brockett really well now and Amy Childs and Harry Derbidge are back too \u2013 who she filmed with all those years ago. Amy\u2019s a mum like Lauren and they still keep in contact.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
