The Wonderful Story Of Henry Sugar

Available from Wednesday

Acclaimed Hollywood director Wes Anderson is the man behind this adaptation of Roald Dahl’s magical short story about a gambler called Henry Sugar, who learns how to see with his eyes closed – a skill that changes his outlook on the world. Clocking in at a breezy 37 minutes, it promises to be short but sweet, featuring a fantastic cast that includes Benedict Cumberbatch in the title role, Ralph Fiennes as Roald himself, Rupert Friend, Ben Kingsley, Dev Patel and Richard Ayoade. Of course, this isn’t the first time that Wes has adapted one of Dahl’s stories – his stop-motion animation version of Fantastic Mr Fox is a charming and witty treat – so lots is expected of this latest production.

Who Killed Jill Dando?

Available from Tuesday

When newsreader Jill Dando was shot dead on her own doorstep in 1999, the brutal and senseless crime sent shockwaves across the nation. No one could understand why this much-loved and very familiar face from British TV had been murdered – or who might have been behind it. The subsequent homicide investigation became one of the biggest in British history, but despite the painstaking inquiry and weeks of media coverage, the case has never been solved. Nearly a quarter of a century later, this three-part documentary takes a deep dive into the case, talking to family, friends, journalists, investigators and lawyers. Don’t go expecting too many dramatic new revelations, but it’s still likely to be a gripping watch.

Castlevania: Nocturne

Available from Thursday

</picture>FIRST LOOK

</picture>squid’s in

</picture>jolly good!

</picture>BYE BABY

in TV
