CHELSEA were held to a 0-0 draw by Bournemouth on Sunday.

The Blues never looked like scoring at the Vitality Stadium, squandering numerous opportunities.

And Mauricio Pochettino is still struggling to get his billion pound boys clicking.

But who was their best player today?

And did anyone have a game to forget?

Here, SunSport's Dave Kidd delivers his Chelsea player ratings…

Excellent smothering first-half save to deny Dango Ouattara and even better effort with his right foot to thwart a Dominic Solanke shot. Alert off his line too.

Steady but unspectacular at right-back, where Chelsea continue to miss the attacking influence of Reece James.

Solid enough in the main but was forced into a last-ditch foul to stop Kluivert in the second half.

Showed plenty of his usual composure, polish and authority – this callow Chelsea side would be lost without his leadership.

</picture>NOT ALL OVER

</picture>NEW GIGG

</picture>FOOTIE LOVECHILD

</picture>EX ON THE BEACH

HOW TO GET FREE BETS ON FOOTBALL

Filling in at left-back, the England squad member was defensively sound and was a threat from set-pieces, having an effort ruled out for offside and forcing a scrambling save from Neto.

A willing ball-winner who anchored the Chelsea midfield well. Wins it, gives it and has imposing physical presence.

There were long spells of the game when you would hardly have known the £106million Argentinian was there. Did not get a grip on this match at all.

Captain for the day and the England man was an energetic presence in midfield, forcing a fine first-half save from Neto but his final pass was poor on occasions.

Plenty of his trademark dribbling at pace but not quite the end product – although he smashed a free-kick against the underside of the bar. Booked for a cynical early foul on Dominic Solanke.

Struck the post early on but he is sorely lacking in the physicality and know-how needed of an elite centre-forward. Kept ceding possession by claiming non-existent fouls.

Plenty of darting runs which created scoring opportunities but looked lost when Chelsea were out of possession, was booked for a foul on Max Aarons and replaced just after the hour by Cole Palmer.

Cole Palmer (for Mudryk, 63 mins) – 7

Lively enough and forced one very decent save from Neto. Likes to get inside and influence things.

Ian Maatsen (for Fernandez, 81 mins) – 6

Had a shot charged down in a late goalmouth scramble but not much chance to influence proceedings.

Ben Chilwell (for Colwill, 81 mins) – 5

Couldn’t make any difference as an attacking threat from left-back after his late arrival off the bench.
