EXCLUSIVE<\/strong>: SF Studios, the Nordic film and TV studio behind A Man Called Otto<\/em>, is shutting its UK production arm as part of a restructure.<\/p>\n SF Studios Production Limited is being wound up in the UK, with PricewaterhouseCoopers appointed to oversee a voluntary liquidation five years after the company was first established.<\/p>\n Tim King, executive vice president of production for SF Studios, said the studio was “restructuring” its UK entities. “There are still rights that we wish to exploit, but in a different format,” he said.<\/p>\n Breaking News<\/span><\/p>\n Breaking News<\/span><\/p>\n SF Studios Production had two employees in the UK, both of whom have left the company to “continue with other opportunities” elsewhere, according to King.<\/p>\n SF Studios Production’s revenue was £1.3M ($1.6M) in its most recently published earnings for the year to March 2022. This was a 94% decline on sales of £20.7M in 2021.<\/p>\n Its pre-tax loss was £172,440 last year, compared with £1.2M in 2021, according to the financial filing at the UK’s Companies House.<\/p>\n SF Studios is a century-old production and distribution company. Tom Hanks drama A Man Called Otto <\/em>was considered a hit after grossing more than $100M worldwide. <\/p>\n Previous international releases include Borg vs. McEnroe<\/em> starring Shia LaBeouf, Sverrir Gudnasson and Stellan Skarsgård, and the thriller Horizon Line<\/em> starring Allison Williams and Alexander Dreymon.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\nRelated Stories<\/h3>\n
