Nearly one year after his horror crash, Freddie Flintoff will be back filming for the BBC this winter.<\/p>\n
The 45-year-old will be making his TV comeback for the second series of his cricket show Field of Dreams.<\/p>\n
As Freddie halted any filming and public appearances while he recovered from his injuries, fans were thrilled to see him over the weekend in Cardiff for England’s one-day international game against New Zealand.<\/p>\n
According to sources, the former cricketer is now ready to get back to his TV duties with filming for his show expected to start over the next few months.<\/p>\n
Speaking to The Mirror, they said: \u201cEveryone is thrilled and relieved Freddie is gearing up to get back to work.<\/p>\n

More info<\/p>\n The show will mark his return to TV since it was revealed he had quit Top Gear in March this year in light of the crash.<\/p>\n Whilst filming at Surrey\u2019s Dunsfold Aerodrome in December 2022, the dad-of-four was driving an open-topped three-wheel sports car when the incident took place.<\/p>\n Going up to 130 mph, the vehicle crashed and flipped onto its roof, dragging Freddie and a production member inside along the track.<\/p>\n After waiting a reported 45 minutes to be airlifted to hospital, Freddie suffered broken ribs and serious facial injuries.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n As a result of the crash, filming for the BBC show was stopped following an internal investigation and Freddie stepped down.<\/p>\n Speaking about his decision to leave, a source told The Times: \u201cFreddie has been emotionally and physically affected by the crash.<\/p>\n \u201cHe is a daredevil and he doesn\u2019t feel able to continue to play that role.\u201d<\/p>\n It\u2019s not yet known when Top Gear will continue.<\/p>\n
