A woman says she taught her dog to "speak" so the pooch can boss her husband around.<\/p>\n
Sheena Shah, 31, taught her Pomeranian Husky mix, Sapphire, three, to communicate through interactive buttons.<\/p>\n
She says furry friend tells her hubby to bring her food, drinks and give her a massage.<\/p>\n

Sapphie has learnt to press the buttons and uses them to tell Sheena\u2019s husband, Sunit, 31, a physician, \u201cmummy is hungry\u201d, \u201cpamper mummy\u201d and \u201cmummy water\u201d.<\/p>\n
The couple find it \u201cso funny\u201d and say Sapphire does it with \u201cforce and attitude\u201d.<\/p>\n

Sheena, a physician assistant and author of Sapphie \u2013 the dog with feelings, from San Diego, California, US, said: \u201cI think it\u2019s so funny, she is so expressive.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe presses the buttons with force and attitude – it's like she understands it.\u201d<\/p>\n
Sheena and Sunit got Sapphire in September 2020 and the dog lovers \u201cinclude her in everything [they] do\u201d.<\/p>\n
Sheena said: \u201cShe comes on trips, dates and we take her to theatres that allow dogs.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe walked down the aisle at our wedding.\u201d<\/p>\n
Sheena was browsing for interactive toys when she found the training buttons and decided to give them a go.<\/p>\n

Sapphire learnt to push a button and would then get a treat as a reward.<\/p>\n
Sheena slowly started adding buttons so Sapphie could learn to say more.<\/p>\n
She said: \u201cIt seems like she knows what she\u2019s talking about. She\u2019s very smart.\u201d<\/p>\n
Sheena \u2013 who is 37 weeks pregnant \u2013 has started using the buttons as a funny way to get Sapphie to communicate with her husband.<\/p>\n
The couple practice for five to 10 minutes a day with her.<\/p>\n
She said: \u201cI have been in bed and I'm able to say 'Sapphie, can you tell daddy this?'<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s so fun trying it out.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s a good husband.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sheena said Sapphie has already been \u201cvery protective\u201d of her while she has been pregnant and can\u2019t wait for her to meet their unborn son.<\/p>\n
She commented: \u201cI think she is going to be so loving.<\/p>\n
\u201cSapphie is the main character.\u201d<\/p>\n
Sheena is also passionate about mental health and want to inspire others to take care of themselves through Sapphie.<\/p>\n
She wrote a children\u2019s book called Sapphie \u2013 the dog with feelings.<\/p>\n
\u201cThrough Sapphie, we want to inspire others to take care of their mental health and know that they are not alone," said Sheena.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith the book, I want to inspire the next generation to be self-expressive."<\/p>\n
