<\/p>\nA MOM has revealed the sneaky way that her cleaner increased the price after doing the work.<\/p>\n
Indy Clinton (@indyclinton) shares her chaotic life as a mother of two with over 1.4 million followers on TikTok.<\/p>\n

She asked for advice after her cleaner unexpectedly increased the cost of tidying her home.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m stressing hard, the cleaners,\u201d Indy said as she sat down to explain the situation.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m too nice to not get her now. I can\u2019t say sorry we don\u2019t need you anymore because I am desperate.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd I need a cleaner, really bad.\u201d<\/p>\n
Indy said: \u201cI found a cleaner and messaged her. She said \u2018I\u2019m $55 an hour\u2019 and I was like sweet.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt will only be like two hours, that\u2019s a hundred bucks or just over for a clean. I\u2019ll pay anything – no I won\u2019t, but that is great.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe night before she messaged me and was like \u2018we will be there at 10.\u2019"<\/p>\n
Indy admitted that she was confused by the cleaner referring to herself as \u201cwe\u201d when they initially spoke but didn\u2019t clarify it.\u00a0<\/p>\n
<\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n She agreed to pay the cleaner $55 an hour including all of the necessary cleaning supplies being brought along.\u00a0<\/p>\n She continued: \u201cYesterday comes and in the morning, before she arrived, she said \u2018oh by the way I\u2019m bringing three of my girls.\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cI was like oh cool that will be done in like half an hour. There\u2019s going to be three or four girls here, amazing.<\/p>\n \u201cIt gets to the end of the clean and they were there for like two and a half hours I think.<\/p>\n \u201cShe comes out and is doing the math in her head.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201c\u2018Ok, that's $55 an hour, there are four of us. That\u2019s around seven or eight hours at $55 an hour.\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cI was like \u2018sorry what?\u2019<\/p>\n \u201c$55 an hour per person, but you didn\u2019t tell me there\u2019s all these other people coming until\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n Indy said that she panicked and almost passed out from the shock.<\/p>\n She continued: \u201cI had to pay close to $500 for a clean.<\/p>\n \u201cI pretty much passed out and vomited in my throat.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cLooked at her, smiled and said \u2018no worries sweet. I\u2019ll transfer now.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Holding her hands in her head, Indy added: \u201cThen I said \u2018see you next week.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t want to see her next week.<\/p>\n \u201cHow can she say that she\u2019s $55 an hour and that she brings all of her own stuff.<\/p>\n \u201cThen she slides it in there that she\u2019s got three other girls with her. Like you can\u2019t just slide that in babe.\u201d<\/p>\n Commenters argued the cleaner had behaved \u201cunprofessionally\u201d and told Indy not to let her come back to the house.<\/p>\n One wrote: \u201cHonestly sounds like she knows what she\u2019s doing, she knows that she tricked you and put you on the spot.\u201d<\/p>\n Another commented:\u00a0 \u201cDon\u2019t see her next week, get someone else sis. That is not good.\u201d<\/p>\n A third said: \u201cNo that\u2019s not right. You need to say that she wasn\u2019t upfront with having multiple people. It\u2019s not right.\u201d<\/p>\n A fourth added: \u201cShe deliberately did that, you need to tell her you\u2019re paying for one person only or you will cancel.\u201d<\/p>\n A fifth commented: \u201cYou need to find yourself a new cleaner & possibly leave a review warning other people.\u201d<\/p>\n Sympathizing, another penned: \u201cThis happened to me and I was too awkward and shy to cancel and they came fortnightly for six months.\u201d<\/p>\n A TikTok user said: \u201cDude this happened to me with gardeners this weekend!!\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cHe said $60 p\/h then the invoice came for two people.
