The property boasts a modern bathroom and additional toilet, a utility room and data cabling, a brand new kitchen, secure outside bike storage and a digital alarm system with remote access security cameras.\u00a0<\/p>\n
But perhaps the most unique element of the property is the enormous mast outside its rear balconies, used to transmit TV signals to London.<\/p>\n

The Croydon Transmitting Station was built in 1962 to bring TV channels to Londoners.<\/p>\n
It was originally used to broadcast the London ITV signal on VHF Band III, which was discontinued in 1985.<\/p>\n

Croydon also had reserve transmitters for BBC1, BBC2, ITV and Channel 4, but these were used only in the event of engineering works or a failure at a nearby larger antennae next to Crystal Palace Park.<\/p>\n
Since the digital switchover in April 2012 no television has been broadcast from Croydon, but it is still used as a backup for several stations in case of emergency.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Viewing is highly recommended for the property and it is available from January 8.<\/p>\n
