Cops said that Gaynor had walked up St Augustine's Street, which leads onto Aylsham Road, and then onto Drayton Road to reach Wensum Park at 4.01pm.

But new footage obtained by the Mail appears to show Gaynor making a diversion off St Augustine's Street onto Bakers Road.

Gaynor vanished after leaving working early, with friends describing her disappearance as 'out of character'.

It comes after Gaynor's daughter Charlotte shared a police update on Facebook confirming that a body had been found in the Wensum.

The body has not been formally identified and the probe is still a missing-person enquiry, but Gaynor's family is being supported by specialist officers.

Chief Superintendent Dave Buckley offered his condolences to the family "at this difficult and distressing time".

He added there is no evidence of third party involvement in Gaynor's disappearance.

Speaking last night, he said: “We remain open-minded to the circumstances of Gaynor's disappearance and will continue to pursue all lines of enquiry to ascertain why she went missing.”

And he added: "I am keen to say that this remains a missing person enquiry at this stage.

"I am also satisfied at the moment based on the evidence that we have that Gaynor did not meet anybody on the way to the park and we now have a better understanding of her movements through the city centre.

"While this is not the outcome we wished for, our search has always predominantly focused on the river and the park.

"We will now need to complete a post-mortem examination to establish means of death.

"I would reiterate at this stage that there is no evidence of third party involvement.

"Nothing in our enquiries have changed this position."
