<\/p>\nIT'S dramatically increased in popularity over the past few years. <\/p>\n
In fact, lots of people have admitted they're more likely to pick up a bar over Dairy Milk or Galaxy. <\/p>\n
\n<\/p>\n
But one woman has left people stunned after revealing the error that so many of us are making when it comes to the company's name. <\/p>\n
Sharing a TikTok video in which she zoomed in on the bar in question, Grace wrote over the top: "Is it just us who thought it was called Tony's Chocoloney? <\/p>\n
"Or can we just not read."<\/p>\n
"Well, this is embarrassing," Grace added in the caption.<\/p>\n
But the comments section was almost immediately filled with people admitting they'd also made the same mistake, and had no idea it's actually Tony's Chocolonely.<\/p>\n "No cut the cameras it WAS chocoloney!" one wrote. <\/p>\n "NO WAY WHAT? It\u2018s ChocoLONEY," another added.<\/p>\n "I was just saying this the other day, I swear that it has always been chocoloney!!!" a third wrote. <\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n "Is this a new Mandela effect BC IT WAS TONY CHOCOLONEY," someone else said. <\/p>\n "It has always been chocoloney I swear!" another wrote. <\/p>\n "I live in the Netherlands so I see that chocolate EVERY damn day… I SWEAR it's always been chocoloney?? But it's not??" someone else said. <\/p>\n While another admitted: "I would have bet my house it was chocoloney!"<\/p>\n "I think its a batch typo, it IS chocoloney," someone else raged.<\/p>\n To which Grace replied: "Haha my friends exact words were 'look they've changed the name!'"<\/p>\n "These comments are giving us life," the Tony's Chocolonely UK account added. <\/p>\n "Why can none of us read?!" Grace laughed. <\/p>\n Tony's Chocolonely came about after Dutch journalist Teun (Tony) van de Keuken started investigating the use of slavery in the cocoa industry for the consumer watchdog show Keuringsdienst van Waarde. <\/p>\n During his research, he discovered that the majority of chocolate on supermarket shelves was made from cocoa harvested by slaves. <\/p>\n And he then decided to take action and create his own line of Fairtrade chocolate. <\/p>\n The very first Tony\u2019s Chocolonely bars hit shelves in 2005, and in 2006 the company registered with the Chamber of Commerce.<\/p>\n![](\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/d1j92n-quality-street-chocolates-859751431.jpg\")
