MARTIN Lewis "keeps nagging" Brits over a phone call as it will see them get \u00a3500 free cash from their energy provider. <\/p>\n

The Money Expert\u00a0has urged users paying their energy and electricity bills<\/span> by Direct Debit to check their credit. <\/p>\n

Martin revealed on his\u00a0ITV Money Show that energy providers are sitting on billions in consumer credit. <\/p>\n

He said: "There are over \u00a38 billion of credit sitting in firms bank accounts and some of it should be in your bank account.<\/p>\n

"I've been nagging about it because it's a lot of money saved up."<\/p>\n

Direct Debit users pay the same amount every month through summer<\/span> and winter. <\/p>\n

Customers can reclaim their money back if they have overpaid months with less energy usage. <\/p>\n

For this, the money-saving whizz is urging Brits to call their energy companies to receive the cash back. <\/p>\n

"Go online to do a direct debit calculation if you are charged and if it's roughly the right rate. <\/p>\n

On the program a user claimed she received a whopping \u00a3500 in refunds after being \u00a3728 in credit and paying \u00a3199 a month. <\/p>\n

After claiming the money, she said her energy provider will hand the cash back on her bank account in the next<\/span> 10 working days. <\/p>\n

It comes as Martin Lewis shared a two step method to "make serious money" without lifting a finger.<\/p>\n

The Money Expert\u00a0said the benefits<\/span> begin when you check your cash ISA rate.<\/p>\n

He also revealed the exact date to get a half-price Christmas dinner.<\/p>\n

During an episode of\u00a0The Martin Lewis Money Show\u00a0on ITV<\/span> the money guru gave a "Festive Forecaster" where he revealed when supermarkets will start to reduce their items.<\/p>\n

If you want to get a "half-price\u00a0Christmas Dinner" there is one date you should keep your eyes peeled for.<\/p>\n

Martin said: "Christmas veg is likely to be reduced around Monday 12 December.<\/p>\n

"I suspect there will be big Christmas veg deals coming when we get to that time of year."<\/p>\n

Cheap tricks for keeping warm this winter<\/h2>\n

There are a few tricks you can use to stay as warm as possible this winter.<\/p>\n

If you've got a few pennies to spare consider buying an\u00a0electric blanket.<\/p>\n

They are another great way to keep warm and most cost around 3p an hour to run.<\/p>\n

Don't forget about preventative measures, draught-proof your home and seal your windows to stop air coming in.<\/p>\n
