{"id":101314,"date":"2023-11-27T14:53:36","date_gmt":"2023-11-27T14:53:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebritycovernews.com\/?p=101314"},"modified":"2023-11-27T14:53:36","modified_gmt":"2023-11-27T14:53:36","slug":"man-who-forced-victim-to-eat-photos-of-dead-people-back-behind-bars","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebritycovernews.com\/world-news\/man-who-forced-victim-to-eat-photos-of-dead-people-back-behind-bars\/","title":{"rendered":"Man who forced victim to eat photos of dead people back behind bars"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>One of Britain&#8217;s worst-ever domestic abusers who forced victim to eat photos of her dead loved ones is back behind bars after throwing Lucozade bottle at his new girlfriend when she told him off for littering<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Craig Thomas, 42, attacked his ex with hammers and stabbed her in the back\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>One of the UK&#8217;s worst domestic abusers who forced his victim to eat photos of her dead loved ones is back in jail after he threw a Lucozade bottle at his new girlfriend.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Craig Thomas, 42, launched the bottle at\u00a0Hayley Farr after losing his temper because she told him not to throw litter.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He had just been\u00a0been released from ten years in prison for a horrific campaign of abuse against his ex-girlfriend\u00a0Charlotte Rooks &#8211; who was attacked with hammers, stabbed in the back and made to sleep naked standing up.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ms Rooks was also forced to eat photos and jewellery of dead loved ones as a bizarre punishment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Cardiff Magistrates&#8217; Court was shown pictures of his new girlfriend Ms Farr&#8217;s face with a black eye and swelling to her cheek.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutor Mike Curry told an earlier hearing: &#8216;She was driving when he tore the wrapper off a bottle of Lucozade and threw it out the car window.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/27\/14\/78280713-12795841-Craig_Thomas_42_is_back_in_jail_after_he_threw_a_Lucozade_bottle-m-53_1701095385116.jpg\" height=\"638\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Craig Thomas, 42,\u00a0is back in jail after he threw a Lucozade bottle at his new girlfriend. Pictured: Thomas in 2023\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/27\/14\/73971063-12795841-Craig_Thomas_seen_here_in_a_new_photo_for_the_first_time_in_over-a-43_1701095076686.jpg\" height=\"963\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Thomas &#8211; seen in a photo for the first time in over a decade &#8211;\u00a0launched the bottle at Hayley Farr after losing his temper because she told him not to throw litter<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Ms Farr made a comment about it and he threw the plastic bottle into her face.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;It caused swelling and bruising to her cheek and she had to stop at a shop to get an ice pack for it.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Thomas, who is 6ft 2in and weighs 18 stone, was due to stand trial for causing actual bodily harm to Ms Farr and a further charge of controlling and coercive behaviour.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But he changed his plea to guilty at Cardiff magistrates court and was sentenced to nine months in jail.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas was jailed for 10 years in 2013 for his horrific attacks on Ms Rooks.<\/p>\n<p>He was released in 2018 after serving half his sentence but was taken into custody after he formed a relationship with Ms Farr and there were fears for her safety.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas was released in June this year and went to stay with Ms Farr who had hoped to marry him despite his record of violence against women.<\/p>\n<p>The first four weeks of their resumed relationship went smoothly but she was driving in Nantymoel, Bridgend, on September 6 when he threw the Lucozade bottle hitting her in the face.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/27\/14\/73971131-12795841-Craig_Thomas_police_mugshot_A_judge_said_that_his_campaign_of_te-a-46_1701095101954.jpg\" height=\"697\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>A judge said his campaign of terror against Ms Rooks was the &#8216;worst domestic abuse&#8217; they had ever seen. I prayed that the person you were for the first four weeks that you were here was the man I was going to marry.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Thomas &#8216;controlled&#8217; Ms Farr between July 10 and September 10, 2023. The court heard there was video footage of Thomas crouched over her in an intimidating way.<\/p>\n<p>Vaughan Britton, defending, said: &#8216;He lost his temper. It&#8217;s an empty Lucozade bottle but it has caused injury and it&#8217;s something he should never have done.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;He is recognising the link between mental health problems and the impact it can have on his behaviour in relationships.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Mr Britton said Thomas had OCD and since he has been in prison he had been potentially diagnosed with adult ADHD.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas is blaming his violence against women on being left in a coma when he was knocked off a bicycle as a teenager.<\/p>\n<p>But District Judge Stephen Harmes said: &#8216;I would have thought that if his brain injury had any impact on him, that would have been explored 10 years ago when he was sentenced to grievous bodily harm.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Thomas was jailed for six months for controlling behaviour and three months for causing actual bodily harm.
