She had been with the agency since 2014.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Sarandon &#8211; who was among those leading the SAG-AFTRA strike &#8211; is yet to comment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The agency, which stands for United Talent Agency, is run by Jewish CEO Jeremy Zimmer.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Sarandon made the inflammatory remark at a protest in NYC on November 17. She said people who are &#8216;afraid to be Jewish&#8217; in America are &#8216;getting a taste of what it feels like to be Muslim in America.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/21\/14\/78063371-12775207-image-m-2_1700577646141.jpg\" height=\"693\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Speaking at a protest on November 17, Susan Sarandon said frightened Jews in America are &#8216;getting a taste&#8217; of how it feels to be Muslim\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/21\/14\/78061121-12775207-image-a-2_1700575745667.jpg\" height=\"343\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Jews slammed her remarks and some Muslim Americans, including Asra Nomani, have taken to social media to explain to Sarandon the ways in which their lives improved when they moved to America.<\/p>\n<p>Sharing a photo of herself with her parents, Nomani said: &#8216;Hi there Susan Sarandon, this is my mom, my dad and me on the rail trail in Morgantown, West by God Virginia. let me tell you what it means to be Muslim in America.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;My dad didn&#8217;t have to become a second-class indentured servant to one of the many tyrants of Muslim countries that use immigrants from India, like my family, as essential slaves&#8230; my dad got a job as an assistant professor of nutrition.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;He got rejected first for tenure but being Muslim in America meant he got a right like everybody got \u2014 his right to appeal and guess what? He won and he became a full professor.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;My mom? Please don\u2019t minimize the experience of Jewish Americans by sanitizing the hell that it is for Muslims living in Muslim countries and vilifying America for the life \u2014 and freedoms \u2014 she offers Muslims like my family.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Go, live like a Muslim woman in a Muslim country. You will come back to America and kiss the land beneath your feet,&#8217; she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Others likened her remarks to those of Jane Fonda during the Vietnam War. Fonda earned herself the nickname &#8216;Hanoi Jane&#8217; for her continuous condemnation of the American military effort in Vietnam.<\/p>\n<p>She traveled to the region and posed atop an antiaircraft gun, something she has since apologized for.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/21\/14\/78062121-12775207-image-a-15_1700575966203.jpg\" height=\"478\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Jane Fonda sitting on an anti-aircraft gun in Vietnam in 1972.
