Celebrity interior designer Celia Sawyer is locked into a dispute with her neighbour over his new balcony, which she claims intrudes her privacy.

The Four Rooms star, known as Mrs Bling, has accused her neighbour of a “disgraceful” breach of planning rules relating to his home in celebrity hotspot Sandbanks.

Celia and her husband did not object to his plans of demolishing a bungalow next to their home and replacing it with a three-storey house, but once the building work got underway, she claims he did not stick to the plan.

The Channel 4 star said: “We object to being overlooked. When I’m in my bikini I feel very uncomfortable.”

Both she and her spouse are also reportedly upset about an air source heat pump that has apparently been built on the roof of their neighbour’s home without permission.

The Channel 4 star has hit out at the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole council for “allowing” her neighbour to make such changes and is asking to take action.

Celia’s neighbour however has reportedly applied for retrospective planning permission that will allow the changes to remain if granted.

According to the Mail Online, documents state that their neighbour’s alleged add ons to the home are a “blatant breach” of planning permission, adding he “totally disregard his previous agreement with his neighbours”.

She added: “That build has taken about three years and he has broken so many of the planning rules.

“The council are really out of order, they have done nothing about it at all.

“They have refused all of his retrospective planning applications so far but they should have put something across his house, he should not be allowed to live there until he has approval.”

Celia’s neighbour has reportedly declined to comment.

In a letter to the council, his planning consultant Martin Hanham reportedly said: “My client is not a builder or developer… he put all the building works in the hands of a local construction company who appointed another firm of architects to deal with the building regulation application.

“My client was aware that very minor changes were made during the construction phase but he was not aware as to whether any form of planning consent was required, and if so, whether such consents had been secured.”
