Green Day<\/b> recently announced they will release a new album, Saviors<\/I>, on January 19, 2024, via Reprise and Warner. <\/p>\n
The band also released “The American Dream Is Killing Me,” a song from the upcoming album, along with a zombie-themed music video.<\/p>\n
“Send out an SOS\/ It’s getting serious\/ Bulldoze your family home\/ Now it’s a condo,” Billie Joe Armstrong<\/b> sings. “Kiss me, I’m dead inside,” he quips. “Who needs suicide?”<\/p>\n
“The American Dream Is Killing Me” was one of the last songs that Green Day made for Saviors<\/i>, says a press release. <\/p>\n
“As soon we cut it, we said, ‘OK, that’s going first,'” Armstrong said in a press statement.<\/p>\n
Green Day recently played “The American Dream Is Killing Me” and the album’s second track, “Look Ma, No Brains!,” live in concert.<\/p>\n
Saviors<\/I> which follows the band’s 2020 LP Father of All Motherf—ers<\/I>, was recorded in London and Los Angeles with producer Rob Cavallo<\/b>, who has previously worked with Green Day on several projects.<\/p>\n
