The former Bake Off star gave her tips for a stress-free festive feast in the December edition of Good Housekeeping.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Dame Mary, 88, said: ‘Who cares if you didn’t make it all from scratch?’<\/p>\n
She added: ‘It’s easy to over-complicate things, particularly at Christmas.<\/p>\n

‘The key is to keep your ingredients simple… but also, not to be ashamed of buying things that make cooking easier, whether it’s Panko breadcrumbs or pre-rolled puff pastry,’ she said.<\/p>\n

The TV chef, who has published more than 75 cookbooks, has declared it a mission to make things more straightforward in the kitchen.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Her latest book, Mary Makes it Easy, will be accompanied by an upcoming BBC Two six-part series from November 2.<\/p>\n
She has continued making shows for the BBC after The Great British Bake Off moved to Channel 4.<\/p>\n
