FEW meals say autumn quite like a delicious warming soup complete with some bread or a cheese toastie for dipping.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

So one canny cook has shared his simple recipe for creating a yummy red pepper soup, as well as the perfect sarnie for dunking.\u00a0<\/p>\n

There was only one divisive element \u2013 his decision to prepare the scran using only an air fryer!\u00a0<\/p>\n

And yes, before you ask, the liquid goes straight in the basket!\u00a0<\/p>\n

Nate regularly shares his simple and tasty slow cooker and air fryer recipes with his 841k followers on his TikTok<\/span> account @BoredOfLunch.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In a recent clip that racked up\u00a0 a massive 2 million views, he shared his simple method for creating a creamy red pepper soup perfect for the colder seasons.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Nate begins by telling viewers: \u201cit\u2019s that time of year when you want to begin dipping cheese toasties into soup.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHere is an air fryer red pepper soup,\u201d he continues. \u201cIt is probably the easiest soup that you\u2019ll make in your life.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The nifty chef begins by adding 500g of cherry tomatoes, three sliced red peppers, a diced red onion, tablespoon of olive oil<\/span>, three garlic cloves and some seasoning in to the airfryer, before roasting for 20 minutes at 200C.\u00a0<\/p>\n

You then want to add 250ml of vegetable stock and 150ml of double cream, as well as a handful of fresh basil.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Blitz it in the basket using a wand blender, and voil\u00e0 \u2013 you have enough broth to feed four people.\u00a0<\/p>\n

For the cheese toastie, simply stick a slice of cheese between two thick slices of bread and butter the outside to get that delicious crunchy glaze.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Air fry for scene minutes at 200, and you\u2019ll have the perfect melty sandwich for dunking in your soup.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHeaven,\u201d the savvy chef concludes as he dips the oozing toasty into the tomato and pepper mix.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But while the result undeniably looked delicious, some viewers were rather disturbed by the idea of putting liquid in an airfryer \u2013 and particularly the washing up it would entail.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you make the soup in my air fryer it\u2019ll just taste of layers of fish fingers and goujons,\u201d one joked.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can just buy tomato soup and it will save a lot of time and washing up,\u201d another added.<\/p>\n
