SIR Keir Starmer was noticeably missing from PMQs today (October 27, 2021).
Ed Miliband is stepping in for the Labour boss as it is Budget Day as well.
Where is Keir Starmer today?
Sir Kier is missing from his duties today after testing positive for Covid.
The Labour Leader posted a snap of himself this morning at 11.13am with his shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves and Bridget Philipson, the shadow chief secretary to the Treasury.
It's then thought the Labour boss came into Parliament before having to dash home.
It comes after speaker Lindsay Hoyle told everyone to wear masks on the estate, making them mandatory for all staff, contractors and visitors.
But he can't make MPs wear them, even in the Commons chamber.
The PM, Boris Johnson, caught Covid at the very start of the pandemic, in March 2020 and spent time in hospital and intensive care as he got so sick.
He later said he thought he got so ill because he was overweight, and went on a major fitness blitz in the months afterwards.
Does he have Covid?
As mentioned Starmer has tested positive, but it is not known if he is ill with Covid.
The Labour boss has been incredibly unlucky with having to isolate over Covid fears over the last 18 months.
He's been forced to stay at home four times so far, but had managed to dodge getting ill.
Ed Miliband stepped in at the last minute today and he joked: "It's just like the old days!"
Starmer's deputy, Angela Rayner, who would have normally been his substitute at prime minister’s questions, is not in Westminster because of a bereavement.
When will Keir Starmer return?
Due to government regulations, Starmer will have to self-isolate now.
This means he will have to stay inside for up to ten days, despite being double jabbed.
With this in mind, he should return to office on Friday November 5, 2021.
