Towie star Joey Turner worries fans as he poses covered in fake blood for shock new pics

FORMER Towie star Joey Turner has left fans concerned after he shared several photos of himself covered in a fake blood filter.

The 20-year-old took to Instagram on Saturday to post the worrying selfies while smoking a cigarette.

Clad in a black pinstripe shirt, the reality TV star pouted for the camera while using a filter titled "I'm OK", to give the illusion of a blooded nose and mouth.

Lately Joey's posts have been attracting attention, with concerned fans and followers sharing their thoughts online about his thin frame.

Earlier this month, The Sun exclusively spoke to Joey after he suffered death threats and was branded an "oxygen thief" since posting his skinny snaps online.

The reality TV star told us that the online tirade has taken it's toll on his body image.

He fears the "despicable" trolls won't stop abusing him over his body until he "hates himself".

But the 20-year-old insists the online outrage comes from "jealous" trolls who are facing their own body insecurities.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Joey said: "In this day and age, we believe body positivity is celebrated, but it's not.

"Apparently it only applies to people who are curvy. When I'm posting pictures in see-through tops and tiny shorts, they want to tear me down.

"I feel like obesity has been glorified, but when someone is thin it's like 'that's disgusting, they look malnourished'.

"People tell me the most awful things, that I'm an oxygen thief and that I need to be shot – all because of my body.

"I think it comes from a place of insecurity and jealousy. A lot of them are projecting their own body insecurities onto me.

"It's affected the way I see myself. I look in the mirror now and ask 'am I too thin?'

"People want me to hate my body, that's their end goal. They won't stop until I hate myself."

People want me to hate my body, that's their end goal…they won't stop until I hate myself.

After shooting to fame as a 17-year-old on Towie with close pal Chloe Brockett, Joey quit TV in May after three years.

Joey became a firm favourite on Towie when he joined in 2019, and was seen on TV sobbing as he left the show five months ago in emotional scenes.

He is now studying fashion design at university in London, focusing on a career outside of reality television.
