This Morning presenter Ruth Langsford was less than impressed when her co-host and husband Eamonn Holmes interrupted her on Monday's show.

Closing up a segment where they were discussing anxiety with psychologist Emma Kenny, Ruth began reading from the autocue when Eamonn cut across her.

Ruth, who stunned in a summery red dress, was reading out a number of a help line for people with anxiety, she only got part way through when Eamonn interrupted her.

Eamonn said: "Monday morning blues OK? That's exactly what we're talking about. If it's there and in the pit of your stomach and you want to share, please do."

Irritated by his mistake Ruth, 60, turned to glare at her husband, who is also 60, of ten years and it wasn't long before he fell in and picked up Ruth's annoyance.

Ever the joker, Eamonn said: "Oh no! I’m getting that look from my wife which says…"

Ruth then pointed out: "I was in the middle of reading the number out."

Feisty Ruth hit back at her hubby and accused him of mansplaining.

The bold presenter snarled: "Well now that you've mansplained it to all of us, let's carry on."

This comes after Ruth reached out to Dr Alex George after he announced he lost his brother Llŷr to mental health.

Ruth, who’s sister Julia tragically took her own life last year, sent a heartfelt message to Alex, 30, on the post where he announced the tragic loss of his brother.

The star was among a number of stars who shared messages of condolence to the NHS doctor, who recently split from Amelia Bath, in the comments section of his heartbreaking announcement.

Eamonn’s wife wrote: “Alex I am so, so sorry for your tragic loss. I lost my sister to mental health last year so I understand the pain and shock you and your family will be feeling.”

Ruth then offered emotional support to Alex as she added: “I send you the hugest of hugs and if you ever need to talk you know how to reach me.

“My condolences to you and your family and may your darling brother rest in peace”, followed by a red heart emoji.

Ruth’s sister was found dead at her home by her husband last year.
