This Morning viewers left emotional as Spin to Win player wins £2,000 whilst visiting ‘poorly’ mum in hospital

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby made a viewer's day during Tuesday's episode of This Morning after she played Spin to Win while at her "poorly" mother's bedside in hospital.

Darshan had to keep her voice low as she took the exciting and unexpected call from the hosts.

Thrown by her near whisper, Phil, 58, asked: "You sound very nervous."

Looking for somewhere she could talk Darshan explained: "Bear with me a second, I'm actually in the hospital with my mum.

"I've just slipped out. This will really cheer us up."

Gasping Holly, 39, said: "You might not want to talk about it, but are you ok, is everything alright?"

The player replied: "My mum is poorly but hopefully she'll be discharged tomorrow."

Before spinning the wheel, Holly asked: "Will you send her a big kiss from us two please?"

After a big spin, the arrow on £1,000 but the This Morning bosses wanted her to have more and Phillip interrupted and said: "Hang on a second. This is from the boss…

"You've just won £2,000."

Shocked but having to hold her excitement in, Darshan told the hosts: "Thank you so much."

Phil said: "We do appreciate you can't shout too much because you're in hospital."

Holly added: "We think you need some cheering up. Go back to your mum, we won't keep you a second longer."
