Strictly Come Dancing star Tilly Ramsay to miss show's finale after catching Covid

STRICTLY Come Dancing's Tilly Ramsay won't be appearing in the show's big finale after catching Covid.

The 20-year-old star was eliminated from the competition alongside pro Nikita Kuzman last month but was going to return with her former co-stars.

However, she explained tonight that she would be isolating instead during the special Saturday night episode.

Tilly wrote on Instagram: "So sad to be missing the Strictly final – but sadly have tested positive for covid.

"Will be watching from my sofa and cheering on the amazing finalists from home on Saturday night – wishing everyone lots of love & good luck❤️❤️ x Tilly."

Pro dancer Nikita, 23, wrote simply: "❤️❤️❤️😢😢."

Finalist John Whaite told her: "Love you Tilly. Will miss you this weekend pal. But cannot wait for the tour xx."

The young chef and YouTuber missed out on a place in the quarter finals when she was eliminated at the end of November.

Tilly failed to impress the judges with her Samba on Saturday night and found herself at the bottom of the leaderboard with 30 points.

She was hailed by her famous dad Gordon with the 55-year-old saying: "It's a celebration. Ten weeks of that intensity, that level of drive, passion.

"She did very well, it's an amazing gig to do."

Asked about how proud he was of Tilly – who landed a perfect score of 40 – Gordon added: "Oh my goodness me, can you imagine?

"Just sat there experiencing that, supporting her through it. Although not with the dancing… She did a great job."
