spoilers: Exit for Bernie in Corrie revealed?

Bernie Winter (Jane Hazelgrove) has only been back on the cobbles a short while in Coronation Street, but she could be set to depart once more in the coming episodes, as — after assisting Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) through her tough time — the young woman reveals she wants her mum to leave.

Bernie returned to Weatherfield earlier this month following a voicemail message from Gemma, as she thought her daughter was in need of a hand.

Her theory ultimately proved correct, and thus she’s been assisting the young woman through her tough time, as she struggles to cope with the pressures of raising quads.

In the coming episodes, Gemma discovers that Aled’s hearing test is here, and she reckons things are looking up, but Bernie, however, remains sceptical.

Later in the week, the audiologist fits Aled’s hearing aids, and the baby’s face lights up as he hears Chesney and Gemma’s voices.

Gemma then informs her mum that — now Aled’s hearing has been sorted — she can cope on her on, and therefore no longer needs her, before asking her to leave — something which leaves Bernie stunned.
