Power Book II: Ghost was the first of the spin-off series to come out following the end of the original Starz drama. The series was quickly renewed following its grand finale in 2020 and is expected to return in a matter of months. There will be a new face in town when Power Book II does comeback and it’s someone who was mentioned in the first series.
Who is Redman?
Reggie Noble, who is better known by his stage name Redman, is an American rapper, DJ, record producer and actor.
He rose to fame in the 1990s with songs such as I’ll Bee Dat, Let’s Get Dirty and How High.
Redman will be joining the Power universe for the second series of Power Book II: Ghost.
The rapper is going to be taking on the role of someone who was introduced in the first series of the spin-off.
Redman is going to be starring as Davis MacClean’s (Method Man) older brother Theo Rollins.
His official character description reads: “Theo Rollins used to run the streets with his little brother, Davis MacLean.
“But now, they sit on opposite sides of the law with Theo serving an extensive prison term, and Davis, off his win in the Tasha St. Patrick case, now the biggest defence attorney in New York City.
“They both know, had the past played out differently, Davis could be locked up alongside his big brother, but Theo questions if the guilt’s enough for Davis to keep his promise.
Redman is already very familiar with his onscreen brother who is played by fellow rapper Method Man.
Redman, who is of supergroup Def Squad, and Method Man of Wu-Tang Clan, have worked as a rap duo for more than two decades.
They have collaborated on numerous projects over the years, including the albums Blackout!, a 2004 Fox sitcom called Method and Red and a movie entitled How High.
The duo also recently performed on American webcast series Verzuz.

Creator of the Power franchise Courtney Kemp previously said how she wanted Redman to appear in the drama.
More specifically, she was eager for the rapper to portray MacClean’s brother.
She told TV Line: “My dream is to get Redman to do it.
“That’s my dream… but I don’t know yet. We haven’t gotten there yet.”
As of yet, a release date hasn’t been revealed for Power Book II, season two.
The first series came out in September 2020 and so it could be the same story for the next lot of episodes.
However, this has not yet been confirmed by Starz so it may be a while yet until the drama returns to our screens.
The Power franchise is available to watch on Starz.
