What is Doing It for Laura?
Doing It For Laura is a charity set up for Laura Nuttall, a student from Lancashire.
The Mirror reported that "The charity said on Facebook : "Our beautiful 20-year-old Laura was diagnosed with Glioblastoma multiforme in October 2018 after a brain scan that showed six brain tumours"
"Laura was in her first term at Kings College London after getting straight A’s in her A-levels last August."
Laura's mum added: "I still can't quite believe this is really happening! We are so incredibly grateful to Peter for this."
Posting on their Go Fund Me Page, the charity hopes to raise money for Laura's vital second surgery.
"Fast forward 2.5 years and although still really healthy and free of symptoms, a routine MRI scan revealed regrowth on the site of the original tumour."
"Laura had a second surgery at the end of March and now the plan is for 2 further dendritic cell vaccinations and a course of a checkpoint inhibitor called Pembrolizumab. None of this is available on the NHS of course so we are faced with the enormous challenge of raising a further £80k."
