This week’s NCIS episode focuses on Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama). Someone in Nick’s family might be in trouble with the law. Here’s what to expect this week on NCIS.
One of Nick’s family members was at the scene of a crime
NCIS Season 18 Episode 12 (titled “Sangre”) is an emotional one for Nick. During this episode, we see Kasey Hines (Diona Reasonover) in the lab, testing evidence linked to a case where a Marine sergeant was stabbed. Unfortunately, the evidence means bad news for Nick. Kasie finds a familial match linked to Torres. Someone in Nick’s family might have killed the sergeant.
“That hair from the crime scene; I ran the DNA, and it belongs to one of Torres’ relatives,” Kasey tells Bishop and McGee. However, Kasie says the DNA was too corrupted for her to find out which relative the sample belongs to. All she could determine was that the person is a male.
Torres says it must be a mistake, but Kasie reminds him that DNA doesn’t lie. There is someone in his family who was present during the murder. Torres is having a tough time accepting the news. “I have black sheep in the family,” says Torres. “I mean, who doesn’t? But a murderer?”
Nick and his father reunite on ‘NCIS’
When Kasie inquiries about Torres’ father and if he could be the familial match, he says this couldn’t be possible. According to him, the last he heard, his father was dead. Torres doesn’t seem too bothered by this. He tells the team that his father was a “deadbeat” who walked out on him when he was 5 years old.
McGee asks if he has any other relatives, Torres says he has a lot of cousins. “I have tons of cousins I haven’t spoken to in years,” he says. “I could track them down. It’s going to take a while.”
Nick says his father is dead, but that turns out to not be the case. During another scene, Torres and McGee head out to conduct an investigation. McGee calls out to a suspect, who then starts running.
Torres is close behind. When they catch up to the man, he begins to fight with McGee. He finally surrenders and takes off his mask so that Nick can see he is his father, Miguel Torres. Torres stares back in disbelief.
What does this mean for Torres?
Will Torres and his father patch things up and try to have a real relationship? Is Miguel the man who murdered a Marine sergeant? We have so many questions going into episode 12.
We think this could be a new beginning for Nick. Although he is clearly hurt by his father’s absence, it’s obvious he wishes he had his father around. He feels like something was missing from his life and he wants to feel whole again. Torres might find it in his heart to forgive Miguel and start fresh. We’re rooting for them.
